1. Who We Are
Baba Jerk Ltd ("we", "us") is a family-run Caribbean street-food business based in Cardiff, UK. Our website is babajerk.com. For data questions, email hello@babajerk.com.
2. What We Collect
- Booking enquiries — name, email, phone, event details you give us via the booking form.
- Newsletter signups — email address only.
- Site analytics — anonymised page views and rough device type via privacy-friendly analytics. No tracking across other sites.
- Cookies — see our cookie policy.
3. Why We Collect It
So we can reply to your enquiry, send you the newsletter you signed up for, and understand which parts of the site are useful. Nothing more.
4. Who We Share It With
Our hosting provider (encrypted-at-rest), our email provider (so we can reply to you), and nobody else. We don't sell your data, ever.
5. How Long We Keep It
Booking enquiries: 2 years from the event date for accounting. Newsletter signups: until you unsubscribe. Anonymised analytics: 14 months.
6. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@babajerk.com and we'll handle it within 30 days. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
7. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the "last updated" date above and ping anyone we're actively in touch with.
